Libertarianism is the belief that, after turning, the steering wheel will right itself without intervention. Not because of the engineering we take for granted, but as a result of some innate force. Its an imbalance in intelligent people, born of informational and cultural seclusion in a society where value is put on things happening under layers of veils and shadows. Its the precarious combination of too much trust in the individual and lack of evidence that groups of people set out to do good can accomplish their goals.
